Private Vehicle Registration Reminder

(Bridgetown, June 22, 2023) The Barbados Revenue Authority advises that vehicle owners of private motor vehicles are not required to come into our offices to renew their vehicle registrations.

Private vehicle renewals are tied to insurance compliance and this information is submitted to the Authority via the insurance companies indicating those persons who are in compliance. This process was implemented during the COVID period and remains in effect.

Persons with vehicle registration numbers attached to private motor vehicles that may have been reassigned during the period and were in compliance with the insurance companies are directed to visit the Barbados Licensing Authority office in the Pine. Those persons should take with them proof of insurance for the periods between 2020 to current as part of the process to have the number reallocated.
